A new Australia play about loss, levity & lasagne
On the morning of their mother's funeral, four siblings await their father's return from the mechanic. While they wait, a neighbour drops around to their Sydney home with a 'sympathy lasagne'. The gift prompts an argument between the siblings that sends them down a rabbit hole of bickering, consolation and reflection.
After the worst week of their collective young lives, Cathy, Conor, Will and Siobhán fumble their way along the path that grief has laid out for them. Cathy begrudges her eldest sibling responsibilities, Conor can't figure out an ending for the eulogy, Siobhán's thinking about taking up gardening and they are all worried about Will.
